Lattice card

Valita has been showing how to make lattice cards on her wonderful blog, so I had to have a go at making them.
I did mine a little differently by putting the lattice layer on the top of the card base.
I started by double embossing the top layer with Craft concepts -Budding Vine embossing folder and an oval scalloped nestability, then cut out the cente. It was then coloured with Luster Rub-ons Russet colour and my finger.
The butterfly is a Marianne Creatable which I purchased from FatCats.
The flowers I made by quilling.

80th Birthday Card

My in laws are celebrating their 80th Birthdays a week apart, and I decided I would make them a combined Bookatrix card.

Hubby's step dad was a gun shearer before retiring, that's why I have made the tiny sheep and they had a massive flowering gum tree in the backyard of the family home (they have since sold the property and moved closer to their children) so that's the reason for the gum tree branches and flowers.
His mother loves her flower garden now that she is able to grow one so she got flowers and a decorative pin on her side of the card.

And here it is in its box

50 Years in Australia

The husband of one of my husbands Aunts is celebrating living in Australia for 50 years, he originally came from Ireland, and she asked me to make a card for her to give to him, but when I asked her if she had any ideas as to what she would like on the card, the answer was "no do whatever you like" well it wasn't easy but this is the card I came up with.

Jewelery Card

Today I have a card to share that I saw on Beate John's Blog, and knew immediately that I had to copy it.

I had made this little piece of jewelery from a brass thingy I had bought years ago with a plan to use it on a card but never got around to, then a friend suggested making jewelery for our cards so I dug it out covered the center of it with glue popped on some gems and then sprinkled on some glitter.

The same friend (she is so very good to me) cut me the spellbinder frame but it was white so I sponged it with old paper Distress ink, I also did that with the piece of lace which was also white.
