Aida Flower

Happy Monday.

Here's another card made for FatCatsCardCorner.

I have used the Nellie Snellen Multiframe die Round Lily cut in two different sizes threaded through some ribbon added flat backed pearls, layered them onto Craft Concepts Leafy Flourish embossing folder.
My flower was made with some left over Aida cloth cut with three different sized standard circles small nesties, scrunched and a brad added to the centre.
The sentiment is from the Stamp-it set Wording.

Pink

Hi Bloggers.

I am a moderator for the Yahoo group PENNY FLOWERS & Paper Craft and each month we have a Theme and a Technique, this months theme is PINK and above is a card I made for it.
My scalloped layers are cut with the Nellie Snellen Multi Frame die set Incire flower which I also embossed and then added the paper piercing.
The large and  small flowers where also made with the same die set.
The large flower was made with the wet and scrunch technique after I inked around the edges with worn lipstick distress ink.
The smaller flowers I made by cutting in slightly between the petals and giving them a bit of shaping and the centres are a Nellie Snellen Floral Punch - Stamen.
The leaves are a cuttlebug die which I cut and then embossed with a cuttlebug folder.
the greeting is from a Stamp-It set Wording

Thinking of you

Good morning bloggers.
My card today is a Joanna Sheen stamp coloured with copics and I have framed it with the Cheery Lynn Kiwi Oval Frame Doily die, which I have threaded some thin white ribbon through tied it into a bow, and also added an extra bow as well.
The Thinking of you is a rub on.

Santa's Sleigh

I know no one wants to even think about Christmas yet, but here are two cards I have made with the Marianne Creatable die Santa's sleigh available from FatCatsCardCorner.

For this one I printed out some Jingle Bells sheet music from the web and distressed the edges, stuck it to the next layer which I edged with my versamarker pen and then heat embossed with some super fine gold embossing powder. The same was done to the sentiment layer and the stamped sentiment.
I also gave the top part some of the same treatment.

For this next one I tried my hand at some inking with sponges and a circle cut from a postal note to make a moon and a group of trees stamped with black memento ink and then without re inking stamped them again upside down.

60th Birthday

My husband John had a 60th Birthday that went on for almost two weeks, my eldest daughter and I organised a party for him which we had on the 9th of July his actual birthday was on the 14th.

The reason it went on for so long is that our other two children and grand children came down from NSW for the two weeks to celebrate it with him, which was wonderful, but now that they have all gone back home again we miss them so badly all over again.

Below is the card/book I made for him, I didn't have time to take photos before giving it to him (I was still trying to finish it while the children were all here), so I've  taken photos now and blurred out all the messages written to him.
This was a cheap little cardboard/chipboard book I bought and covered with papers and then decorated with different stamps and die cuts, a little brass frame which holds a photo of our three beautiful children.
Some of the embellishments like the DAD letters, hammer etc. were recycled from cards given to their dad on fathers day.
All seven grandchildren wrote special messages to their Pa which I put into the envelope I made to hold them.

Ballerina and Roses

I'm afraid I don't have a new card to share with you today, as we have children and grandchildren visiting and I want to spend as much time as possible with them before they go back home, ( they are all still asleep so I'm quickly popping on before they wakeup).
This is a card I made a while back and haven't shown yet as I was going to do some instructions to show how I made the shadow box frame. ( I will try and get it done as soon as possible).
Anyway the border is a Martha Stewart punch around the page combo set called cherish.
The ballerinas are a Marianne Creatables Die, their dresses are cut from some lovely quilted shimmer papers which come in a pack of seven different colours.
The roses I made and the leaves are from a Sizzix Flowers, branches and leaves die set.
All these products area available at FatCatsCardCorner.

Spring Bulbs

Good Morning,

I made this card for my sister in law who has just undergone an operation for bowel cancer.
The flowers are made from my friend Angie'e e-book PENNY FLOWERS.
The spellbinders mat I have placed them on was sent to me by Angie I think its labels 10.
I sponged around the edges of it with Memento cantaloupe ink I also did the same to the DP (which came with a magazine) and the Fancy Tags 2.
The butterflies are a Martha Stewart punch.
