The Geisha

 Hello  Everyone

I've not been doing a whole lot of card making other than Christmas cards lately but I did put together a card using The Geisha digital stamp which I bought from Prairie Fairy Designs   I coloured her with copics, fussy cut her and then layered her onto a Spellbinders Floral Oval. The flowers I made using Sakura punches and the leaves are Curvy leaves by Elizabeth Craft Designs.

Roses

Hello............
I got out my spellbinders Rose creations die set and made some roses, I wanted to see the difference between using card stock and paper, the ones on this first card I made with the card and the yellow ones were made with paper, I'm still not certain which ones I prefer so will probably continue using both when making them, most likely depending I on what colours I have on hand when needing to make them.

The colour on these cards looks like a tan colour but is actually a dark/dirty dusky pink.
I also used the Spellbinder Foliage die for the leaves and I made these by sponging Peeled Paint Distress Ink ink onto a piece of white card stock cutting our the leaves and then sponging more of the Peeled Paint round the edges of the leaves.

Also used on the above card was the Spellbinders Basic lattice Die.
The Joanna Sheen Signature Die Flourish Corner.
The Joy Crafts label 2 Tag tie.
and the butterfly is from the Stamp It siset034 stamp set.
On the card below I also used one of the dies from the Spellbinders Floral Ovals Die set.

I cut apertures in the front of the cards and placed the Basic lattice in behind adding another layer of the card stock on dimentionals on the inside behind the lattice.

Using strips of waste paper

Hi Everyone.............
Do you have a box or drawer full of all those little pieces of design paper that you can't bare to through away.
I have and decided to use some of them by making striped backgrounds for my cards, I cover a piece of card stock slightly bigger than I need for my card with a piece of Jac paper (double sided sticky sheet) or you can just stick your strips on with whatever method you use for adhering your layers, then I just start sticking on my strips when finished I trim the piece to whatever size I need for my card. For my card below I used ½ inch strips but you could use any size even odd sized strips and you don't have to lay them straight like I have, lay them on an angle or whatever else you can come up with.

Herr's the list of dies I used for my card .......
The bow I think is Memory Box Perfect Bow
and the sentiment stamps is from the Stamp-it set siste046
