Card for Pam

It's been quite a while since I have made a card, and since a neighbour was having a birthday I thought I should get to work and make her a card, this is what i came up with.

I made the background with some distress inks on some cheap water colour paper added a touch more colour with a stencil and some more distress ink.

The flowers I also made from the same water colour paper which I coloured with distress inks and cut out with the Cheery Lynn Gardenia Strip die.

Snugglepot and Cuddlepie

Kaaren from Fat Cats Card Corner sent me this cute Snugglepot and Cuddlepie cling stamp from Paper Roses.
I've coloured them with copics and hand drawn a leaf for them to be sitting on.
The Sue Wilson Ocean Waves Pinpoint embossing folder looked like the leaves and wattle from a Wattle tree so added some colour to the raised embossed bits also using copics.
I also used the Sue Wilson Scalloped Lattice Frame die set.

And here is a version of the cute stamp done in Christmas Colours again using copics to colour.
The Sue Wilson Ocean Waves Pinpoint embossing folder was used again and the lovely border die they are sitting on is the Paper Roses Madison Lace Edge die.
Happy Christmas die is from Cheery Lynn.

again as well as the Paper Roses Madison Lace Edge die.
the Flowers are Sue Wilson Striped Nasturtiums and the With Sympathy die is from the Crafters Companion Die'sire range.

New cards for Fat Cats Card Corner

I'm back making cards for Kaaren at Fat Cats Card Corner after a bit of time off for moving house/unit.

The Fat Cats Card Corner products I've used are the Marianne Design Creatables Petra's Circle w/Bird LR0457, the Marianne Creatables Frogs and Dragonfly LR0461, and the beautiful papers from the 6"x6" Rambling Rose Paper Pad by Ultimate Crafts
The flowers I made using the Sue Wilson Perfect Peony Die and the leaves are Spellbinders Foliage.

I only used the Marianne Design Creatables Petra's Circle w/Bird LR0457 for this card as well as the
Marianne Craftable Basic Circle CR1331 to cut the center image.

Here I've again used the Marianne Design Creatables Petra's Circle w/Bird LR0457, the Marianne Creatables Frogs and Dragonfly LR0461, and the beautiful papers from the 6"x6" Rambling Rose Paper Pad by Ultimate Crafts. I love the little red eyed green tree frogs so coloured my frogs to look like them.

Marianne Design Creatables Petra's Circle w/Bird LR0457, the Marianne Creatables Frogs and Dragonfly LR0461, Marianne Creatables Tiny's Cattails LR0409.
the embossing folder I used is the Sue Wilson Dotted Wave Pinpoint.

More Orchids

There isn't  much crafting going on here as we are in the process of moving, from a rather roomy two bedroom unit into a very small two bedroom unit.
It's going to be a bit of a challenge fitting my sewing set up and my craft room into one small bedroom but it's a challenge I'm up for.

In the meantime here are two more orchid cards I made a while back, one for a sister in laws 60th birthday and the other for our youngest daughters birthday.

And then there was this gold fish slider card I made for our great grandsons 2nd birthday.

Butterflies and Orchids

I love seeing images of Butterflies and Orchids they are such a beautiful combination.
and so I made some orchids using the Marianne Design Collectible Orchids die set.
The butterflies are a rubber stamp from URBAN Stamps which I coloured with copics and cut them out by hand.

Also used was the Spellbinders Basic Lattice Die.
Marianne Design Craftables Circle Die.
Cheery Lynn Fanciful flourish and Sue Wilson Laurel Leaves.

I created the background for this one using the Spellbinders Lovin' Diamonds die as a stencil and spritzing on some Dylusions Ink spray, Calypso Teal.

Embossed Backgrounds

I've been playing with my embossing folders, I embossed them with white card stock and inked them with sponge daubers and Distress inks.
Here I have used them on cards I made for online friends birthdays.

Embossing folder I used is a 140x140 square one by Kaszazz called Leaves #5444
The Cheery Lynn Anastatia border strip hides where my extended embossing wasn't quite perfect.
The flowers I made with the Cottage Cutz 3D flower no 4.
The leaves are Sue Wilson Orange Blossom Leaves die.

The embossing folder I used on this card was the Craft Concepts Secret Garden 5x7
Border is the Martha Stewart Doily Lace Border punch.
Flowers I made using the Die-namics Royal Rose, for the purple and white ones I just rolled the two colours together.
Leaves are from the Sue Wilson Christmas Rose Die set.

BELLA

Kaaren from Fat Cats Card Corner sent me this lovely Dee's Distinctively Bella die to play with,
she's an outline die and oh so pretty.

For my first card I cut the die from white card stock and stuck it onto black, colouring only her lips with a red copic.
The flowers I made using the Cottage Cutz 3D Flower 4 and I made them by wetting them and then holding each petal over something round and pinching them together with my fingernails, waited for them to dry then opened them out a little and curved the petals by folding over something round, some gentle cupping to the centres and then layering two of them together offsetting the petals.
The leaves are Sue Wilson Faux Quilled Leaves and the embossing folder is Delicate Hearts.

For this card I cut Bella from an eggplant colour and stuck it onto white, (even though it looks like a pale grey here, it was a terrible overcast, wet and cold day) then coloured the flower in her hair with copics.
The flowers on this one is the Sue Wilson -  Festive Collection - Christmas Rose,
After cutting them out I left them in the dies and coloured them with copics.
On both cards I used dimensional tape to stick down the Bella layer.

the leaves are Sue Wilson Laurel Leaves, flowers made with the Sue Wilson Petite Peony cluster Die

Only one die used for this card and that is the Sue Wilson Swiss Background, a beautiful die set.
A bit of lavender flowersoft and a piece of ribbon to finish.

I cut an aperture from the plum coloured card and then embossed it with the Downtown Abbey embossing folder. The flower display I made with the Impression Obsession bouquet set.

This time I have heat embossed the Thistle EF with gold embossing powder onto green card and cut it into three sections.

Downton Abbey Classical Edge Die
Downton Abbey Thistle embossing folder.
Cottage Cutz 3D Flower 4

After cutting the Classical Edge Downton Abbey dies.
I stamped the Teapot and cup and saucer set from the Time for Tea Downton Abbey Stamp set into position and heat embossed them with gold, I then added glossy accents to them I also used a couple of pieces from the Downton Abbey Die-cut Toppers A4 set of 2 sheets and I hand cut a few embossed thistles from the Downton Abbey Thistle embossing folder.

I coloured the tea pot and cup with a Prisma pencil and added some gold heat embossing.
