Roses

Hello............
I got out my spellbinders Rose creations die set and made some roses, I wanted to see the difference between using card stock and paper, the ones on this first card I made with the card and the yellow ones were made with paper, I'm still not certain which ones I prefer so will probably continue using both when making them, most likely depending I on what colours I have on hand when needing to make them.

The colour on these cards looks like a tan colour but is actually a dark/dirty dusky pink.
I also used the Spellbinder Foliage die for the leaves and I made these by sponging Peeled Paint Distress Ink ink onto a piece of white card stock cutting our the leaves and then sponging more of the Peeled Paint round the edges of the leaves.

Also used on the above card was the Spellbinders Basic lattice Die.
The Joanna Sheen Signature Die Flourish Corner.
The Joy Crafts label 2 Tag tie.
and the butterfly is from the Stamp It siset034 stamp set.
On the card below I also used one of the dies from the Spellbinders Floral Ovals Die set.

I cut apertures in the front of the cards and placed the Basic lattice in behind adding another layer of the card stock on dimentionals on the inside behind the lattice.

Using strips of waste paper

Hi Everyone.............
Do you have a box or drawer full of all those little pieces of design paper that you can't bare to through away.
I have and decided to use some of them by making striped backgrounds for my cards, I cover a piece of card stock slightly bigger than I need for my card with a piece of Jac paper (double sided sticky sheet) or you can just stick your strips on with whatever method you use for adhering your layers, then I just start sticking on my strips when finished I trim the piece to whatever size I need for my card. For my card below I used ½ inch strips but you could use any size even odd sized strips and you don't have to lay them straight like I have, lay them on an angle or whatever else you can come up with.

Herr's the list of dies I used for my card .......
The bow I think is Memory Box Perfect Bow
and the sentiment stamps is from the Stamp-it set siste046

Just For You

Hi Again...........I know, I know three posts in one day............. I found them in my drafts and thought I should probably publish them.

I was sent three different colouring card stock to try out with my copics by a Diane a lovely Internet friend I have made through a group I belong to, thanks Di
For this card I used Papertry Ink card and found it blended really nicely even though it doesn't have a smooth finish on it.

The image is Fancy by Saturated Canary
the little flowers are made with one of the Impression Obsession mini Spiral Flowers Dies
the swirly doily is the Memory Box Whimsy Circle die, leaves are Martha Stewart Fir Branch punch and the hearts I cut by hand.

Wedding Card

I was asked to make a wedding bookatrix card by my dear sister in law Kathy, and below is what I came up with, I used silver and ivory for my colour scheme.

Easel Drawer Card

Hello Everyone,

It came to my attention yesterday that I hadn't shared this card with you.
One of my husbands Aunts asked  me to make a card for one of her grand daughters and as she loves to dance and goes to dance classes what better die to use than the Marianne Creatables Ballerina 2.

Spellbinders Hearts were used and the border is from the Martha Stewart Eyelet Lace Combo punch set.
The memory Box Chloe Stem and some hand made flowers.

Happy Birthday is another Marianne Creatable Die.

A brad and  heart buckle for the drawer handle.

Some more Brads for the feet.

Here is the link for the instructions for the Easel Drawer Box.

As always thank you for taking the time to visit, and dropping me a line to let me know you have.
